Here is a group / site for all you pups and trainers or handlers out there! A new Yahoo! group has started up (to be followed by a website) to assist as a guide for those just learning, or those with experience. Brought to us by an Aussie pup named Flying, this group / site seems to hold a lot of promise for those wanting to learn. It currently is a work in progress and is expected to take at least another 8 months to complete the original concept.

While this project is "intended as a guide only and participants should take what they find to be useful for themselves while feeling free to disregard and adapt any part of the manual not suitable", the chapters give you a feeling that this may become one of the largest projects taken on in the pup movement to this date. The chapters cover, but are not limited to, the following topics; Definitions, Puppy Mindset, Pup Safety, Gear, Toilet Training, Punishment, Computer Security, Law & the Public, Recipies, Training Over the Internet, Internet Safety, Advertising Yourself, Training Agreements, Health Issues, Coming Out, Resources, Guide Dogs

The holidays are coming and for those who need to get someone a present, here is my suggestion. If you didn't get to see the Disney Pixar movie Up in the theater, it is now released on DVD and Blue Ray. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't enjoy this movie. While it is a typical heart-warming Disney movie, all us dog lovers enjoy the HYSTERICAL scenes with the canines. I don't want to ruin the story about the dogs, but here is the movie synopsis.

"A young Carl Fredrickson meets a young adventure spirited girl named Ellie. They both dream of going to a Lost Land in South America. 70 years later, Ellie has died. Carl remembers the promise he made to her. Then, when he inadvertently hits a construction worker, he is forced to go to a retirement home. But before they can take him, he and his house fly away. However he has a stowaway aboard. An 8 year old boy named Russell, whose trying to get an assisting the elderly badge. Together, they embark in an adventure, where they encounter talking dogs, an evil villain and a rare bird named Kevin. Written by Garfield2710

However Charles Munts falls into disgrace, accused of forging the skeleton of the monster of Paradise Falls. He travels in his blimp to South America to bring the monster back alive but is never seen again. Eventually he Carl grows up and marries Ellie. They promise each other that they would travel together to Paradise Falls and build a house there. Many years later, Ellie dies and Carl, who's lonely, refuses to move from their house despite the offers of the owner of a construction company. When Carl accidentally hits a worker that damaged his mailbox, he is sentenced to move to a retirement home. However, he uses many balloons to float his house in order to travel to Paradise Falls.
